Issue Nineteen: Letters Page

We love hearing from you, Wanderers; it reassures us that we didn’t forget to post the last issue…
Thanks for all your emails, tweets and comments. Please keep them coming, and we’ll continue to share some of them with you! Don’t forget, you can:

Here’s what you’ve been saying since we published Issue Eighteen.

Great Story! Thanks from a BBC Sherlockian who just has to read everything she finds on the subject. 😉

We’re glad you liked it! Thorough research is, of course, critical to good detective work… Thanks for getting in touch! -Ed.

I found a lot of great music through fanvids, like e.g. ‘Schiller’ via an amazing ‘Mentalist’ fanvid. I know own 7 Schiller CDs and will forever be grateful to the vid’s maker for introducing me to this music. I’ve also seen many wonderful films starring actors I liked in other films. I might never have discovered/ watched these films just for their sake and I would have missed some treasures.
So far fandom has not really led me to more fandoms but it helped me discover wonderful things along the way I would surely have missed otherwise😀

And that’s the beauty of it! Thanks for getting in touch, it’s great to hear that you’ve got so much out of fandom! -Ed.

What we’ve been talking about on Twitter:

  • @panaManga linked us to their Sherlock fanvid – we really enjoyed watching it!

  • We found out that @HoneyKlose, @samurang87, @frenchnavygirl, @xmoriartyparty, @Talitakum and @PatrinaC all believe in Sherlock Holmes, and are eagerly awaiting the return of Sherlock.

  • As well as Sherlock, we also reviewed Community last issue – @AndreaKcc told us, ‘Greendale is my home. Community is my show.’

  • We asked the furthest distance you’d ever done a watchalong across. We think @boxofdoom wins with participants in England and Canada! Fortunately there were no major technical problems.

  • We also asked you to name a cool kids’ film. @Februkauzie went one better and presented us with a list, including but not limited to The Lion King, Mulan, and Wall-E. Great list!

So, if you’re not following  @FandomWanderers  you’re missing out on some good gossip!
