Issue Twenty-Five: A Note from the Editors

Hello, Wanderers!

We’ve got big plans coming up, as we’re now approaching the ‘zine’s first anniversary! Since we’re all very excited, we wanted to do something to celebrate… so here’s the plan. We’re going to be printing a limited run of Fandom Wanderers books, featuring a selection of our editorials (including some exclusive ones you won’t find on the site). If you’d be interested in such a book, do let us know so we can work out how limited to make the run – you can do that through any of the usual channels – and we’ll try to get back to you with more details soon. And, as usual, if you’ve already been in touch with us over the last couple of weeks, you might be on our letters page.

Right, on to the articles – our GUST series continues with a look at the ’80s film version of The Worst Witch, plus we’ve got reviews of Thor and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, so check those out.

On the editorial side, we follow up last issue’s FW Tips with some thoughts on writing canon characters, we have a think about fandom as a means to prompt creativity, and one of our writers gets to grips with tags and warnings in fandom.

You can expect our next issue on the 8th of June, but until then you can find us on Facebook and Twitter. We look forward to talking to you soon, Wanderers!
