Issue Thirty-Nine: A Note from the Editors

Hello, Wanderers!

We’re getting into a very wintry, festive mood this issue – helped along by the joy of receiving your messages, which are on our letters page.

We’ve got reviews for you of Frozen and Santa Claus: The Movie (1985), and our ‘50 Years of Doctor Who‘ series wraps up with a look at regeneration and the future of the show.

On the editorial side, we’re having a think about dealing with fandom bullying in FW Tips, we look at fandom as a way to express yourself, and we consider the effects of a winter hiatus on fandoms.

Last, but not least, we’re very pleased to announce the arrival of our new columnist, Ian D Sharman, who’s joined us with his column The Ragamuffin Speaks since the sad closure of his former hosts, Comics Crux. His first column with us is a look at some of the best things to come out of 2013, so do have a look!

Our next issue will be appearing on the 4th of January 2014, so don’t miss that – and in the meantime, we hope you have a great time celebrating whatever you may be celebrating. You can talk to us any time on our  Facebook and Twitter pages, or our brand new Tumblr page, so don’t be shy!

All the best for the season, and a happy new year to you all!
